Today is a day that we make a big deal of our moms. Wow, do I have it good! My Mom is absolutely adorable…even when she went through her cussing phase for a short season of her life. She managed to make the “S” word cute…mostly because she clearly didn’t use it enough to capture the essence of the word and its most appropriate usage. Mom still begins and ends every encouter and conversation with “I love you more.” It’s not because she is competitive, but just determined to remind you that she really loves you. I have never ever had to question the way she feels about me. She still fixes food as if my metabolism hasn’t changed since high school…it has. Mom always brings strawberry lime-aids, donut holes, and cherry pie…just because.
She always puts everyone else first. Always brags on her kids and her grandkids. Always loves my Dad.
But beyond all the things that make my Mom so amazing, the thing I am most thankful for is that Jesus always comes first. Mom is an incredibly talented teacher and us kids were the beneficiaries of that gift. She has always lead by example. And for that I trust I still have a whole lot more to learn from my Mom…
Basically, I love my Momma…and its good to be her baby.
