Snow Day

I had no idea we were suppose to get more snow today.  I suppose I should create more time in my life for technology to fill me in on those kinds of things, but nevertheless I was incredibly thankful for the surprise this morning.  It was rather pleasant.  More accurately, I was pumped!  It brought the prospects of fun, whereas the huge frozen mounds of dippin’ dots that we received last week did not.  I am curious how many shovels were broken in the last few days.  But you can actually play in this stuff…so the Woods family did just that.

After tackling Wal-Mart while it was still falling, the snow that is…(we can only pray that Wal-Mart might fall), we set out to party in the back yard.  Outside of one little mishap that sent Ezra flying through the air for three feet only to land face first into a huge pile of snow, therefore burrying him and without question upsetting him…it went swimmingly.  It was just a beautiful time enjoying the snow, eating the snow, making snow angels, throwing snow balls, sledding, laughing, wrestling, and just being a family.

We function at a pretty crazy pace and slowing down for a day was really good.  I’m cool with crazy as long as I am with my family.

Kids grow up fast.  Don’t miss it.
