Week One…Done.

This last week was the first week of school, which meant that Axiom had an event virtually every night of the week.  Welcome Week at the University of Illinois is a lot of fun and a lot of hours.  Tons of new faces, tons of old ones (not aged faces so much, more so faces I am already familiar with).  It was really exciting to engage in conversations with returning and incoming students.  During the summer around here, sometimes it can get rather quiet…and considering the AC went out here at the campus house mack in late May…it was hard to get excited about spending anytime in such a hot place!  it was a pleasantry to have it fixed a couple days before Quad Day…

Watching close to 80 people worship with us the other night, in this small space, was incredibly powerful…its like the house has come to life!  The place was packed!  I have no idea what the semester or year will hold, but I am excited to get to know these students more deeply and hopefully become a part of their story as they grapple with Truth and pursue their King.

Its good to have the students back, and its good to see my family again :)…
